The amazing event brought together 5 of Montreal’s top chefs from Bird Bar\,  Imadake\, Suwu\, Le Pois Penché\, Mckibbin’s Irish Pub. Guests were also treated to appetizers and delights from Chez Wafi and sweets from La Delisherie. Attendees were invited to kick their heels up and knock their drinks down in support of a good cause. The event was a speakeasy soirée featuring live performances from swing dancers\, jazz band\, open bar and photo booth to complete the ambiance. Special thanks to Christina Love Photograhy for capturing these memorable moments from our 5th anniversary event.  \nContributions from Gin & Jazz will go in support of Sarah’s Fund for Cedars\, where all proceeds ensure that patients on Sarah’s Floor at the Montreal Children’s Hospital of the MUHC receive the best care possible. Sarah’s Floor is the hub of the MUHC’s Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division. With a tempting silent auction\, delicious food\, gelato from FCO di Fiumicino and the appearance of a few beautiful snakes from Pat’s Pet Show\, the guests were enchanted into the Garden of Eden theme. Once the curtains closed at 6\, the night was transformed into a dance club with guests dancing to the beats of DJs Danny Torrence and Toddy Flores\, until much past 9pm.  \nOverall\, approximately 200 people came out to celebrate\, helping us reach our goal for giving back to the Hydrotherapy Program of the MAB-Mackay Foundation. The soirée featured several interactive themed booths such as Hulk Wax Hands ( Montreal Wax Hands)\, Superman Photo Booth (Studio 55)\, Cat Woman’s Lip Gloss (Glossbar)\, Iceman’s cupcakes (Les Glaceurs)\, Daredevil Silent Auction and the Ironman Challenge. Superheroes also roamed the crowd thanks to Oya Costumes\, and decorations from Over the Top Events completed the ambiance. Attendees were able to relive their childhood all in the spirit of philanthropy.  \nContributions from the night permitted Amal to donate a cheque of $19\, 000 to the MAB-Mackay Foundation. Their mission consisted of creating an original meal\, which was then served to the guests in order to have them pick a winner. In the end\, Adam Aspelund’s delicious smoked ricotta and braised pork agnolotti prevailed.   \nThe guests’ contributions made it possible for Amal Foundation to give a $17\,000 cheque to Éric Gareau\, president of Rêves d’enfants’ West Chapter. This camp is one-of-a-kind in Quebec\, allowing children to undergo treatments for different cancers while their families enjoy a real holiday and forget\, if only for a moment\, that their child is sick.  \n“Sorbet & Pétales” was the first fundraiser held by the Amal Foundation\, a fashion show showcasing the local talent. The swanky creations were presented from designers Valérie Dumaine\, DimitriChris\, Leonardo Bennotti\, Crazy about Black and Masabni. Hosted by Jamie Orchard of Global Montreal\, the event included live performances by Black Snake Circus and Rebelles et Vagabonds – “École de danse à Laval”.
