The Amal team also met with Sarah Cook\u00a0herself,\u00a0Jeff Shamie (President and CEO of the Cedars Cancer Foundation) and the Cedars team\u00a0at the Montreal Children\u2019s earlier in December to present the donation.<\/p>\n<p>This sum will fund Wifi for children on Sarah\u2019s Floor undergoing treatment at the\u00a0MUHC\u2019s Pediatric Hematology\/Oncology Division. This will also help with funding for a safety officer, which is crucial for Children\u2019s bone marrow transplant program.\u00a0Without an accredited transplant program, this potentially lifesaving therapy could not be offered at the Children\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>The recognition ceremony gathered many of generous donors,\u00a0sponsors and partners.\u00a0 We would like to thank all our major sponsors including Lasik MD, Citalfort, Le Pois Pench\u00e9, Imadake, SuWu, McKibbins Irish Pub, Bird Bar, Chez Wafi, Bercy, Allison Cordner Photography, Infopresse and Ensuite Media including many of our other community partners such as Mad Science and Concordia University.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, we would also like to thank our incredible volunteers who have contributed to the success of our fundraising events.
