On\u00a0October\u00a02013,\u202f we\u00a0invited\u00a0numerous\u00a0guests to\u202f<\/span>New City Gas<\/span><\/a>, Montreal<\/span> The evening, hosted by CTV and Virgin Radio\u2019s\u202fAndrea Collins\u202f(a\u202ffood lover\u202fherself), showcased 5 chefs and restaurant owners who crossed swords in a highly colourful culinary competition: Adam Aspelund (Luger Buvette Gourmand), Fisun Ercan (Restaurant Su,\u202fBarbounya), Sergio\u00a0Mattoscio\u00a0(Macaroni Bar), Antonio Park (<\/span>Park Restaurant<\/span><\/a>), and Alexandre Gosselin (<\/span>Chez Victoire<\/span><\/a>). Their mission consisted of creating an original meal, which was then served to the guests\u00a0in order to\u00a0have them pick a winner. In the end, Adam Aspelund\u2019s delicious smoked\u00a0ricotta\u00a0and braised pork agnolotti prevailed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The guests\u2019 contributions made it possible for\u00a0Amal Foundation\u00a0to give a $17,000 cheque to \u00c9ric Gareau, president of\u202f<\/span>R\u00eaves\u00a0d\u2019enfants<\/span><\/a>\u2019 West Chapter. Thanks to this sum, Jade, aged 6, who is battling Ewing\u2019s sarcoma, will be able to visit her\u00a0favorite\u00a0Walt Disney characters, while Miguel, aged 8, who is battling lymphoblastic\u00a0leukemia, will get the chance to swim with the dolphins.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
